_Fot
_Fot is a Japan-based brand producing shoes, bags, accessories, jewelry, and a small selection of objects. According to the brand’s own introduction, its design and manufacturing move between interior and fashion, with a product range shaped by three recurring geometric forms—circle, triangle, and square—and by a consistent use of leather, wood, and metal. Its making logic is most clearly visible in the wood heel series developed with Japanese craftsmen. The brand describes this line as modular, allowing variations in heel form, height, and material, while interviews with designer Ayumi Otsu and woodworker Hiroki Yamashita show a process built on lamination, molding, adhesive testing, and close control of grain direction to reduce warping and spring-back. Across the collection, leather, maple wood, brass, silver, acrylic, and stone are used with similar attention to structure and balance. What distinguishes _Fot is not simply a crossover of fashion and object design, but a practical transfer of furniture-making methods into wearable form. Rather than treating wood as decoration, the brand uses it as a structural and formal element, giving footwear and accessories a construction language closer to product design than to conventional leather goods.

How to buy

  1. 01

We buy and ship it for you

_Fot doesn't ship abroad. Honmono can order in Japan on your behalf and forward it to you — one contact, one invoice, no Japanese address needed.

  2. 02

    Use a dedicated proxy service

A proxy such as Buyee or ZenMarket gives you a Japanese address, buys the item and forwards it. Cheaper than a concierge, but expect forwarding fees, a longer wait and customs on arrival.

  3. 03

    Buy it while in Japan

Buy direct from the official shop or a Japanese retailer while you're there — tax-free at most stores on presentation of your passport.
