KINTO is a Japanese housewares brand that develops tableware, drinkware, kitchenware and interior items, alongside related lines such as herbal products from KINTO FARM and, more recently, the fabric sub-brand Futo. The company was established in 1972 in Hikone, Shiga, first as a wholesaler of tableware, and later moved into original product development; today its own site positions the brand around everyday tools for the home and outside use. Its product logic is rooted in use rather than decoration. Across ceramics, stainless-steel tumblers and glassware, KINTO describes development in terms of material selection, handling, maintenance and durability. CERAMIC LAB was developed with potters carrying forward Japanese ceramic knowledge, including adjustments to clay and glaze formulas and attention to humidity and temperature in production. Its Travel Tumbler uses vacuum-insulated double-wall stainless steel, 18-8 stainless steel for durability, powder coating on coloured models, and electropolishing inside to reduce residue and odour retention. What distinguishes KINTO is the way it translates industrial product development into a broad domestic culture of use. Rather than centring limited craft narratives or lifestyle branding alone, it works across serial product families, spare parts, and long-use maintenance. The result is a brand that sits between manufacturer pragmatism and design retail, applying Japanese table and vessel traditions to contemporary routines at home, at work and outdoors.

How to buy

  1. 01

We buy and ship it for you

We haven't verified Kinto's international checkout yet. Honmono can order in Japan on your behalf and forward it to you — one contact, one invoice, no Japanese address needed.

  2. 02

    Use a dedicated proxy service

A proxy such as Buyee or ZenMarket gives you a Japanese address, buys the item and forwards it. Cheaper than a concierge, but expect forwarding fees, a longer wait and customs on arrival.

  3. 03

    Buy it while in Japan

Buy direct from the official shop or a Japanese retailer while you're there — tax-free at most stores on presentation of your passport.
