S.C. SEDAN KIT
By SEDAN ALL-PURPOSE x PUMA
SEDAN ALL-PURPOSE and PUMA release their first collaboration on 24 October. The collection is built around a fictional football team, S.C. SEDAN, and comes as five pieces: a shoe, a track jacket, track pants, a game shirt and a cap.
SEDAN ALL-PURPOSE is a Japanese label that designs from 1990s American classics, with an eye on comfort and everyday wear. It has a habit of borrowing sport codes: it has already worked with Reebok on game shirts and with Dickies and Outdoor Products. PUMA is new territory for it, and the German brand has never worked with SEDAN before either.
The shoe is the PUMA x SEDAN V-S1, a development of the V-series spike that began with the PUMA V1.08 in the early 2000s. The materials echo a classic football boot, with white stitching as an accent. The lining carries an all-over world map print, and the box is printed with the same map. The midsole is a lightweight EVA, and the shape has a rounded toe and a regular fit.
The world map runs through the whole range. The Ventilation Track Jacket and Track Pants, both in jersey, have zipped vents from shoulder to cuff and from waist to hem, with map-printed mesh underneath. The World Map Game Shirt has a classic collar, a flock-printed SEDAN ALL-PURPOSE logo on the chest and a woven hem label that recalls older PUMA pieces. The soft-brimmed World Map BB Cap closes the line. The CAT and SEDAN logos are embroidered across the pieces.
Prices: the V-S1 is 19,800 yen, the track jacket 25,300 yen, the track pants 24,200 yen, the game shirt 22,000 yen and the cap 6,600 yen. The collection is sold on the SEDAN ALL-PURPOSE online store and at its authorised retailers, as well as at selected PUMA stores and retailers.
