SLIDERS / BEAMS AB3

By SMITH × BEAMS

SMITH and BEAMS have jointly produced the Sliders / BEAMS AB3, a performance eyewear collaboration that marks the 50th anniversary of both brands simultaneously.

The starting point is SMITH's archival Sliders model, first introduced in the late 1990s. Here it's reimagined with contemporary materials and optics, while BEAMS shaped the colourway: a sharp black frame base offset by clear orange on the inner rim and underside — a direct nod to the orange that has defined BEAMS' visual identity for half a century.

On the lens side, the main piece is a specially developed ChromaPop photochromic lens not available in SMITH's standard lineup. Two additional interchangeable ChromaPop lenses were personally selected by BEAMS, chosen for compatibility with the frame colour and suitability across varying light and weather conditions. Nose pads shaped for Japanese facial proportions and a bespoke carrying case complete the package.

Available now at select BEAMS stores and online, priced at ¥29,700 (tax included).
