ALONE WITH CREWNECK SWEATSHIRT

United Athle has built a sweatshirt around a single night: STUTS's tenth-anniversary show at the Nippon Budokan. The Japanese blank-apparel maker and the producer and beatmaker have produced two crewneck sweats, released on 17 October, that borrow the title of his upcoming concert, "Alone with".

United Athle has been making heavy-duty blanks since 1930, when it began as a Nagoya apparel manufacturer, and it now supplies a large share of Japan's plain T-shirts. For years the company has also worked with artists, producing one-off sample pieces that sit outside its standard catalogue. STUTS, for his part, has long used United Athle bodies for his own merchandise, which is how the two came together for this anniversary project.

The body is the 8.8-ounce Authentic Pile Crewneck Sweatshirt (Style No. 5399-01), chosen for its mid-weight loopback fabric and relaxed silhouette. The graphic, drawn by the artist Ryu Okubo, reworks the title of the Budokan show, with a sketched cityscape set above the words "Alone with". It comes in black and greige.

The collaboration goes on sale on 17 October, from 12:00 to 19:00, at FINETIME COFFEE ROASTERS in Kyodo, Setagaya, the roaster that helps STUTS produce his own coffee blend. Each sweatshirt is sold as a limited set alongside a bag of his beans, priced at 4,000 yen for the pop-up, while stocks last. The lookbook was photographed at the same cafe, with STUTS joined by his band members Keigo Iwami, Akihiko Ogi and Yusei Takahashi.
